Picture Perfect using the Metallic Watercolour Pans
Hi Everyone,
Well we are in stage 2 restrictions here in Townsville with Covid knocking on our doorsteps, so today I decided to show you a nice cheery and colourful layout I have done using the Watercolour Pans and the Water Brushes These easy-to-use brushes are perfect for adding small detail or colour washing large areas. The Watercolour Pans are Artist grade pigments in 12 metallic, shimmery colours. When painting the background on these pages I used a piece of Plastic Sheet 6"x 4". Kaszazz sells the Plastic Sheets there are 10 A4 sheets in each packet. Spray the watercolour pans lightly to release the colours then using using the widest Watercolour Brush from the set, transfer three colours to a Craft Mat, making sure they are wide apart. Take the piece of plastic and while holding rock back and forth over one colour then place the piece of plastic covered in the metallic watercolour paint and place it randomly over the smooth side of white cardstock until your background is covered with the three colours. In the photo below you can not see how shimmery it is. The butterflies are cut from the Die - Layered Butterfly. When the background was dry I used the Butterfly Medley Stencil and Watering Can Archival Ink and randomly stencilled butterflies over the background. Using a piece of white cardstock cut from the solid butterfly and then the same technique is used on this paper. Taking a piece of Gold Sticker Paper I cut the lacey butterfly die, then peeled the back from the lacey die and attached it to the solid painted butterfly. The flower stamp is embossed with Gold Embossing Powder. I have also used in the embellishments a Bird Cage from the metal embellishments and Gold embossed it.
